Bow and stern tie-downs are REQUIRED when transporting boats (nose tie down strap for SUPs).
If your vehicle does not have a tie-off point or the tie-down would damage the vehicle, then Yakima's Hood Anchor (Yakima part number #8007416) is a great option.
